Updated 2020-07-03: Mixing/Mastering tweaks.
Although the songs I produce are 90% covers in many different genres, I’ve never hit Grunge, so I decided to record my favorite song by Nirvana.
That said, here’s my arrangement of “In Bloom”, from what I consider their finest album, “Nevermind”.
RIP to Mr. Cobain, you’re sorely missed. His joining the other members of the “27 Club” was such a tragedy, especially when you think about the music he might still be producing today.

“In Bloom”
Music and Lyrics by Kurt Cobain
Sell the kids for food
Weather changes moods
Spring is here again
Reproductive glands
He’s the one
Who likes all our pretty songs
And he likes to sing along
And he likes to shoot his gun
But he knows not what it means
Knows not what it means, when I say…
We can have some more
Nature is a whore
Bruises on the fruit
Tender age in bloom
He’s the one
Who likes all our pretty songs
And he likes to sing along
And he likes to shoot his gun
But he knows not what it means
Knows not what it means, when I say…
Always liked this track – In Bloom is the other one on this disc that forever makes my playlist.

It was a lot of fun to record, not so much to mix… Took a while. The main problem here (as usual) is my voice. I think it may be okay on the verses, but I just can’t get up to where Cobain is on the choruses.
